Sometimes known as GMTP, Great Mills Trading Post is the parent company for several subsidiaries which are locally owned and operated. Great Mills Construction Company is the commercial asphalt and concrete construction business subsidiary. It is conveniently located in Southern Maryland's St. Mary's County, a county just south of Washington DC, in the town of Great Mills. GMTP also owns and operates the AAA Materials, Inc. subsidiary, located in St. Mary's County's town of Leonardtown, which provides homeowners with decorative stone, gravel, mulch, topsoil, sand, bluestone and more. GMTP frequently sponsors special events at its Flat Iron Farm also a subsidiary in Great Mills.
